About

Wendy’s Quilting opened in 2005 in Thunder Bay Ontario Canada

I quilt using my APQS Millennium Longarm using both edge to edge designs as well as freehand custom quilting.

My quilting journey really began as a child when I first noticed quilts on a television show and my imagination took over from there…

Quilting for my customers is a pleasure as well as a privilege.

  4. I found your blog today. And I enjoyed reading all about you and your quilting. I am also a long armer, and I often stress about whether or not the customer will like what I do. Although I live in Australia, one of my cousins live in Canada so I especially loved the nature pictures that you posted. I look forward to continue reading your blog.

  6. Hi Wendy,
great to see you out and enjoying the sunshine – But I’m not sure I could deal with handling those fish! (Cleaning them is even worse than holding them – you are a brave woman!).
Would you mind if I put you on my blog roll? – it makes it easier for me to check in and visit your site.
    Have a nice weekend,

  7. Hi Helen, Thank you so much for your lovely comments on my blog. I really love to be able to enjoy the outdoors, esp fishing. We live in an area that is surrounded by forest and lakes and so beautiful. I was so excited to see the patterns posted on your blog this morning I can’t wait to see what you do with them. I have several queen sized quilts to make and the patterns and fabric on hand so I’m trying really hard not to add to my collection. I’m so tempted by all the beautiful quilts I see on line. Please do add me to you list, I will add you to mine too. The computer really does make the world so much smaller doesn’t it. Wendy

  17. Hi Wendy, I got your card from Fabricland. I started a quilt for my son about a year ago now and I really want to get it finished before he is too old to enjoy it. It is 80x 106″. I have completed the top quilting and I have the bottom fabric and quilt batting. I do not have the experience or proper sewing machine to sandwich together the layers and finish off the edges. I am wondering if you have the time to finish it for me and how much you would charge to do this. I can send you pictures if you would like to see what I have done. It is my first quilt. Thank you Andrea

  19. Hi Wendy, I was searching the internet for some history on Shabaqua and came across a post of yours regarding the old school and I was wondering if you had any other information regarding the Erickson family that owned property out there in the very early 1900’s.
Thanks for any info you might have!
