Joan’s “Walk Down Memory Lane Quilt“

I recently quilted this quilt for Joan, she has been piecing for a number of years and it has been so much fun to watch her grow and expand her quilting skills!

It seems that most quilters end up with left over fabric from each project they have done, this accumulation of “scraps” or if there is enough of it “stash” eventually reaches a point of it’s time to do something with this!

Joan has been having fun with her scraps and her fun turns into mine. Visiting in my studio we discussed her quilt and how it was a walk down memory lane for me as her quilter! (Hence the Name that I gave this quilt!)

Many years ago I decided to offer to piece yardage into backs free of charge for my customers.

Look at this beautiful batik backing, the stitching looks great on it as does the pantograph Shasta!

Another thing that I usually do for Joan is to prepare her binding, for this quilt she chose the backing fabric for the binding.

Let me help you bring your quilting projects to completion!!
