Quilting and Inspiration

Life has been busy, with so many wonderful and exciting adventures and opportunities. I am truly blessed! Yes there have been challenges, but aren’t there always.

I have been busy quilting these last months, mostly for customers, busy trying to make the most of any good weather we’ve had this fall, busy working and continuously learning.

I am so fortunate to quilt for many wonderful people

Alva’s pieces always inspire me and I consider it an honour to be her quilter!

Lorraine has brought me several of her beautiful quilts that she makes as gifts for people in her life. This is one of her more recent ones

Jeanette brought me several this year, this one a little wallhanging for her Sauna

Chenille Quilt

Every now and then a quilt comes in with something I haven’t quilted before. (Not very often, after 9 years I’ve quilted a lot of quilts!)

I just finished this one this morning, cotton and chenille top and flannel back. My Millennium came through as always, no problems with thicker intersections and the tension is perfect! I can’t wait for my customer to see it!

Circles

Circles

Thanks to Cheryl Arkison I have been playing around with circles in my imagination. (Too busy to play these days).
Thanks to a fun sew in that I was invited to yesterday I was finally able to try Cheryl’s technique for inset circles that she teaches in her Craftsy Class.
Now that I’ve tried it more ideas are flowing…time to schedule more play!
Who else is playing with circles or wants to?
