This quilt made by Joyce reminds me of spinning stars so that’s what I called it. I am not sure what the pattern name actually is.
It was quilted with the pantograph Star Swirl as I wanted to add to the motion of the blocks.

Leaf Pile Quilt
The pantograph leaf pile has been in my collection from my early days of Long-arm quilting and has been a favourite of both mine and many customers. It has such a nice flow to quilt and adds such a nice autumn look.
Millie made this bed quilt as requested by a family member and after discussing the quilting we both agreed that leaf pile was a perfect fit.
As a child we lived in Winnipeg and had oak trees in our yard, I always loved the leaves (especially this time of year) I suspect that is why I love this pantograph so much.
Butterflies and Flowers
This quilt of Joan’s spoke to me immediately, it reminded me of flower gardens and there were butterflies in some of the prints in the top as well as backings.
I chose the pantograph Butterfly Charm as it really suited this pretty quilt.
Herringbone Quilt
The Herringbone was the second quilt that I have quilted for Eryn the first one was her One Block Wonder.
Her Herringbone quilt is so light bright and fresh looking, it was quilted using the pantograph parchment.
Joan’s Blossoms
The Blossom print in this quilt is so pretty and bold that it immediately brought to mind adding a fun floral design that would just enhance the quilt. I chose the pantograph Rhododendron.
Welcome October
September seemed to just fly by, however it was a full and productive month. After returning from Toronto, Erik and I attended his nephews wedding, and also our youngest grand child’s birthday party the first weekend back.
As fun as the weekend was, we were both ready for some stay at home and get things done time.
Sadly we did not have a good crop of apples this year, thankfully my friend Kim did and she shared a few totes with me. I have been busy making and canning juice and will freeze many apples along with making some crisps! The house certainly has that autumn smell these days!
My design wall has been changing and hopefully my Moda Blockheads top will be off the wall this coming week to make room for my Longtime Gone quilt which is well under way….I always end up with more than one project in the works and several on my mind.
Joan’s Triangle Quilt
Joan made this quilt as per her Granddaughters request. I loved the bubbles on many of the fabrics which led me to choosing the pantograph Bubbles! Such a beautiful quilt for a young teen.
Quilting
Life has somewhat returned to normal after arriving home on Monday afternoon.
I missed my Longarm and studio! It is always fun to come back from trips with goodies and see where they are going to fit in to my fun room!
I have been busy working this week on customer quilts and plan next week to begin carving out some time for play again.

Early Morning Reading
Some days I wake up far too early to start my day, when I can’t fall back to sleep I spend time reading and often check out some interesting quilting blogs….of course finding more inspiration than one needs does not help me to fall back asleep.
I have been following Savor Every Stitch for some time. Her piecing is modern and fun and her quilting is superb.
Liz recently took part in a block hop featuring a new book Just One Charm Pack Quilts by Cheryl of Meadow Mist Designs this led me through a fun rabbit hole of more blogs and fun reading and inspiration.
